Biosketch
Athira received her MA degree in English Language and Literature in 2021 and BSc degree in Mathematics in 2019 from Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, Kochi. She joined the department in August 2021 and is currently pursuing her PhD in Cultural Studies.

Research
Athira is interested in exploring the shifts in the conceptions of food in pre-modern, modern, and globalized Kerala. Specifically, she aims to analyze the meanings and significations of food in the Kerala context and trace how these conceptions have changed over different historical periods
