Dead-Weight Piston Gauge

The Osaw Industrial HM150.02/225354 Dead-Weight Piston Gauge is a precision pressure calibration instrument designed for establishing accurate pressure standards through fundamental force-area relationships. This apparatus features a vertical piston-cylinder assembly with calibrated weights, precision-machined components with minimal clearance, and hydraulic fluid system for pressure generation. The device operates on the principle of balancing applied weights against fluid pressure, providing primary pressure standards without requiring comparison to other instruments. It enables accurate calibration of pressure gauges, transducers, and other pressure-sensing devices through traceable measurement standards. The system includes a set of calibrated masses, rotating mechanism for friction reduction, and connection ports. This metrological pressure instrument is essential for maintaining pressure measurement accuracy in testing laboratories, providing reliable reference standards for quality assurance and compliance with measurement traceability requirements.
