IIT Palakkad and WAY Cultural Conserve Forge Partnership for Heritage and Technology

IIT Palakkad signed a Memorandum of Understanding with WAY Cultural Conserve, marking the beginning of a collaboration focused on preserving India’s rich cultural heritage through advanced technological interventions. The MoU was signed by Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Dean ICSR, IIT Palakkad, and Mr. Sakthi Murugan, Founder of WAY Cultural Conserve, in the presence of Prof. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad. Dr. Senthilkumar V, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Palakkad, will serve as the faculty champion for this collaboration. The MoU has been signed to facilitate technical assistance and expertise from IIT PKD in executing LiDAR scanning for the heritage properties. 

 

The MoU aims to facilitate technical assistance and expertise from IIT Palakkad in executing LiDAR scanning for heritage properties. It also seeks to promote joint discussions to outline a framework for collaborative engagement in forthcoming projects of mutual interest; exchange of academic and research information, scholarly materials, and publications; sponsorship of cooperative seminars, workshops, and other academic meetings; and exploration of future initiatives aligned with mutual interests in heritage preservation, technology-driven research, and sustainable practices.
