IIT Palakkad conducts training workshops for Kerala PWD Engineers

The Department of Civil Engineering is conducting a training workshop series exclusively for engineers from the Kerala Public Works Department (PWD), scheduled from May 26 to 30, 2025. The program is in partnership with the Kerala Highway Research Institute (the research wing of Kerala PWD), as per the Centre of Excellence MoA with IIT Palakkad.

About 50 Engineers of the Kerala PWD from their different wings across Kerala will be attending over the course of a week. The series will include for workshops: 

(1) Structural Design, Concrete Mixture, and Novel Materials

(2) Flexible Pavements

(3) Geotechnics for Transportation Infrastructure

(4) Traffic Simulation
