Gunvatta Yatra : IIT Palakkad conducted a workshop on the National Accreditation Board For Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)

The Global Sanitation Center of Excellence (GSCOE), IIT Palakkad in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education (CCE) of Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad hosted the workshop on National Accreditation Board For Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) 

Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director of IIT Palakkad inaugurated the workshop and emphasized the significance of quality assurance and standardization in the sophisticated laboratories of higher education institutions and industries. Dr. Praveena Gangadharan, Project Director, GSCOE, Dr. S. Kanmani Subbu, Chairperson, CCE and Dr. Devasena M., CTO of GSCOE, highlighted the strategic importance of standards and accreditation in enhancing credibility, recognition, and operational efficiency for laboratories and institutions.

During the technical sessions of the workshop, Mr. Srikanth R., Director NABL and Ms. Gopika Mohanan, Accreditation Officer, provided a comprehensive overview on the role of the Quality Council of India (QCI) and NABL in promoting quality infrastructure of the nation and elaborated the detailed processes for application and assessment of various NABL recognition schemes. The workshop benefited more than 70 participants representing the faculty, staff, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs from IIT Palakkad and its nearby knowledge ecosystem.
