IIT Palakkad signs ToT Agreement with Oceanautics Private Limited

IIT Palakkad has licensed the technology "Fixed Thruster Underwater Vehicle" to Oceanautics Private Limited ,  through a Transfer of Technology (ToT) agreement signed on July 1, 2024. The ToT signed between Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad, and Mr. Abhishek Bokinala, Director - Projects, Oceanautics Private Limited, is valid for a period of five years.

Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Department of Mechanical Engineering, is the faculty champion of this agreement.The technology titled “A Fixed Thruster Underwater Vehicle (FTUV)” is an outcome of his research.  The agreement entitles the licensee or his team to use the processes, information, know-how, and the technology contemplated and composed to manufacture, produce, and sell products underlying the Licensed Technology.
