IIT Palakkad signs ToT Agreement with Oceanautics Private Limited

IIT Palakkad has given a license to use the technology "Fixed Thruster Underwater Vehicle"  through a Transfer of Technology (ToT) agreement with M/s. Oceanautics Private Limited, Andhra Pradesh, on July 1, 2024. This agreement is valid for a period of five years.

Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, is the faculty champion of this agreement. He developed a technology titled “A Fixed Thruster Underwater Vehicle (FTUV)” as an outcome of his research, licensed to M/s. Oceanautics Private Limited. The licensee or his team is entitled to use the process, information, know-how, and technology contemplated and comprised in the Licensed Technology and manufacture, produce, and sell products underlying the Licensed Technology. Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad, and Mr. Abhishek Bokinala, Director - Projects, Oceanautics Private Limited, signed the TOT.
