Himansu has done BA History (Hons) from Gazole Mahavidyalaya (session 2015 - 2018) which is affiliated  to the University of Gour Banga. After completing this degree in 2018 he further joined Malda College for MA in History, (session 2018 - 2020). This college is affiliated to the University of Gour Banga. In 2021, he also joined  Sikkim University and completed the degree of M.Phil in the year 2023. After that, from December 2023 to May 2024, he worked as a Research Assistant in ICSSR-funded in collaboration with the Sikkim University research program.  Currently, he is working on Environmental History with Dr. Biswajit Sarmah.
