Workshop on ‘Evolution from the Income-tax Act, 1961 to the Income-tax Act, 2025’

The Finance & Accounts Section of the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad organised a workshop on ‘Evolution from the Income-tax Act, 1961 to the Income-tax Act, 2025’. The session was led by CA Abhinav Venkitesh, who provided valuable insights into the transition from the Income-tax Act, 1961, to the new Income-tax Act, 2025. The workshop focused on understanding the key changes, simplification of tax provisions and their practical implications for individuals and institutions.
The programme was attended by faculty members and staff of IIT Palakkad. The interactive session provided an opportunity for participants to enhance their understanding of the new income-tax framework and clarify relevant aspects of the revised tax legislation. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by an informal interaction. The programme was organised as part of the Finance & Accounts Section's initiative to enhance awareness and understanding of important developments in taxation among the Institute community.
