Phase -1 of AICTE-QIP-PG Certificate Programmes Completed at IIT Palakkad
The Phase-1 offline session of the AICTE-QIP-PG Certificate Programme on “3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing”, organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and “Robotics”, organised by the Department of Electrical Engineering commenced at IIT Palakkad.
The two programmes were jointly inaugurated by Dr. Bibhu Ranjan Sarangi, Dean Academics, IIT Palakkad. The programmes are supported by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), IIT Palakkad.
The 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing programme was attended by 24 participants from across India, while the Robotics programme had 30 participants.
The Phase-1 offline sessions provided participants with opportunities for hands-on learning, exposure to advanced technologies, and access to laboratory facilities in their respective domains. As part of the six-month hybrid programmes, participants will continue with online academic sessions, assignments, and related learning activities.
The Phase-2 offline sessions are scheduled to commence in December 2026, providing further opportunities for practical training, technical engagement, and interaction with the academic and laboratory facilities at IIT Palakkad.
