IIT Palakkad and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Sign MoU to Foster Research Collaboration and Empower Regional MSMEs
In a significant step toward boosting academic-industrial collaboration and regional industrial growth, a senior delegation from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) visited the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (IIT Palakkad) to sign and exchange a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for advanced research collaboration.
The partnership will primarily focus on developing cutting-edge technology solutions tailored for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) operating along the vital Kochi–Bengaluru industrial corridor. By leveraging IIT Palakkad’s research capabilities, particularly its upcoming Research Park, and TCS’s global innovation capabilities, the collaboration aims to drive digital transformation, improve operational efficiencies, and foster sustainable growth for the region's vibrant MSME sector.
During their visit, the TCS team toured various state-of-the-art scientific facilities and research labs across the campus. The delegation also engaged in extensive interactive sessions with faculty members to identify immediate areas of mutual research interest, bridging foundational academic research with scalable commercial applications.
