Journey through Science: Science Quest Season 6 at IIT Palakkad

The sixth season of Science Quest, ‘Continuing the Journey with Valsa’, a ten-day residential camp conducted in memory of the late Prof. M. C Valsakumar, former Professor of Physics and Dean Student Affairs, commenced at IIT Palakkad. Designed for plus one students, the program welcomes participants from schools across Kerala and Coimbatore, offering them an engaging experience in scientific exploration. 

Dr. Athira P., Dean Academics, delivered the welcome address. This was followed by an inaugural lecture by Dr. Anoop George, Associate Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, on the topic “Thinking Machines and Thinking Humans: Exploring AI and Philosophy”. Spanning ten days, the event will feature a variety of interactive sessions, science demonstrations, workshops, yoga sessions, and other cultural events aimed at providing an immersive learning experience for the participants.
