IIT Palakkad Hosts Southern Cross University (SCU)

IIT Palakkad was pleased to welcome a delegation from Southern Cross University (SCU), Australia, to discuss potential collaboration in research, innovation, and academic exchange. Mr. Ben Roche, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Research and Education Impact; Prof. Jon Hill, Executive Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering; and Ms. Petula Thomas, Adjunct Fellow & Strategic Projects Lead – India, interacted with Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director of IIT Palakkad, Dr. Arvind Ajoy, Dean ICSR, Dr. Deepak Jaiswal, Head of the Environmental Sciences and Sustainable Engineering Centre (ESSENCE), Dr. Athira, In-Charge Periyar Basin Management Plan, Dr. Sreenath, In-charge SATCARD, Dr. Devasena, CTO, GS-COE and Dr. Saishyam, CEO, IPTIF. 
IIT Palakkad and Southern Cross University (SCU) align  strongly in key areas such as cyber-physical systems in agriculture, next-generation farming, and data-driven environmental science among many others. SCU’s research on sustaining ecosystems, including water quality and climate change solutions aligns very closely with ESSENCE's objectives.
