IIT Palakkad hosts Warsaw University of Technology
IIT Palakkad was pleased to welcome a delegation from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, following the institute’s recent full membership in the Heritage Network – Higher Education and Research Network.
The delegation comprised Teresa Zielińska, Full Professor, Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering and President of the Heritage Network; Cezary Zielinski, Full Professor, Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology (FEIT) and Vibekananda Dutta, Assistant Professor, Institute of Micromechanics and Photonics. The delegation was received by Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad, along with Dr. Athira P., Dean Academics and Dr.Subrahmanyam Mula, Faculty-In-Charge, International and Alumni Relations. Discussions during the visit focused on strengthening academic and research collaboration between the two institutions, including opportunities for joint PhD programmes and co-supervision of doctoral research.
The delegation also interacted with faculty members and students, sharing insights about the Heritage Network and highlighting scholarship opportunities at Warsaw University of Technology, including programmes supported by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The visit provided a valuable platform to further enhance international academic engagement and explore new avenues for collaborative research between the two institutions.
