Ms. Akshaya S., Research Scholar, under the supervision of Dr. Rahul Choragudi, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, has achieved a notable accomplishment through her association with a Tamil feature film selected for the Berlin Film Festival (Berlinale) 2026.

The Tamil feature film, Members of the Problematic Family, in which Ms. Akshaya S. worked as an Assistant Director, has been officially selected for screening at the Berlinale Forum. This achievement places the film among a rare group of Tamil cinema works to be showcased at the prestigious festival.

Notably, Members of the Problematic Family becomes the fourth Tamil film to be screened at the Berlinale Forum, following Alaipayuthey (Mani Ratnam), Paruthiveeran (Ameer) and Kottukkaali (P. S. Vinothraj).
