The Department of Data Science hosts inaugural colloquium on AI and Capitalism

The Department of Data Science hosted the inaugural departmental colloquium of the Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Dr.Deepak Padmanabhan, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science, Queen's University Belfast, UK delivered a talk on “AI and Capitalism: What is going on?”. The talk explored the connection between the technology of AI and the ethos of capitalism drawing upon evidence from the historical origins of AI.
