IIT Palakkad Organises Workshop Series for Civil Engineers from KPWD

The Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Palakkad, in collaboration with the Kerala Highway Research Institute (KHRI), the research wing of the Kerala Public Works Department (PWD), is organizing a five-day workshop series exclusively for engineers from the Kerala PWD. The program, scheduled from May 26 to 30, 2025, is being conducted under the Centre of Excellence Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between IIT Palakkad and the Kerala PWD.

Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director of IIT Palakkad, inaugurated the event and addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of knowledge exchange between academic institutions and government departments in driving infrastructure innovation.

Dr. T.K. Sudheesh, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Kanmani Subbu, Associate Professor from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Chairman of the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), also addressed the audience, highlighting the significance of continuous professional development for engineers.
