The objective of the workshop is to:

• Introduce plant systems modeling to the student community

• Provide hands-on experience in modeling leaf-level photosynthesis and scaling up to whole-plant simulations

• Create opportunities for students to network with peers and professionals interested in plant modeling

Eligibility and Selection:

The workshop is open to applicants currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (final year only), Master’s, or PhD degree in any discipline of science or engineering that includes taught biology modules. Applications from postdoctoral researchers and independent scholars will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

All applications will be reviewed by the selection committee, and ~25 participants will be shortlisted.

Interested individuals must submit an expression of interest by 5th June 2025.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified via email by 10th June 2025.

Selected participants are required to complete registration and pay the registration fee by 15th June 2025. Please note that all participants are expected to stay on the IIT Palakkad campus for the entire duration of the workshop.
