Uniting Minds for Engineering Excellence: IIT Palakkad at COPEN 13

IIT Palakkad played a key role in the successful organization of the 13th International Conference on Precision, Meso, Micro and Nano Engineering(COPEN 13), held at NIT Calicut from December 13 to 15, 2024, in collaboration with IIST Trivandrum and NITK Surathkal. Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad, addressed the inaugural ceremony, emphasizing the institute's commitment to research excellence. Faculty from IIT Palakkad actively participated in technical sessions and jointly organized the conference with other collaborating institutes. The event, which saw participation from over 600 delegates and featured 300 technical presentations, underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration. COPEN, initiated by IIT Madras continues to serve as a key platform in bringing academicians, researchers and practicing engineers for sharing their experiences in the field of precision engineering.The event reaffirmed IIT Palakkad’s commitment to fostering excellence in ‘Design and Manufacture in India’.
