IIT Palakkad partners with Harare Institute of Technology, Zimbabwe to foster Innovation and Research
IIT Palakkad was pleased to extend a warm welcome to the esteemed delegation from Harare Institute of Technology, Zimbabwe. Dr. Engineer Quinton C. Khanukamwe, Vice-Chancellor, HIT Zimbabwe and his delegation consisting Prof. Tendai
Padenga(Executive Dean, HIT), and Ms. Portia Mupfumira(Deputy Dean, HIT), visited the campus for the signing of an MoU between the two institutions. The MoU signing by Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad and Prof. Quinton C.Khanukamwe, Vice-Chancellor, HIT Zimbabwe was followed by a fruitful interaction in which faculty members specialized in Manufacturing and Materials Engineering also participated, exploring potential academic and research collaborations. Both institutions identified key areas of mutual interest, such as, Industrial Manufacturing, Information Technology, Material Engineering and Nanotechnology, where joint efforts could yield significant benefits. Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar shared his vision for the institute. The HIT delegation expressed enthusiasm for the partnership and a desire to expand collaborative efforts, including greater student involvement.
