Workshop on VLSI Design and Recent Trends Held at IIT Palakkad
IIT Palakkad, in collaboration with Chips to Startups (C2S) under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, recently hosted a dynamic one-day workshop on 'VLSI (Very-large-scale integration) Design and Recent Trends'. The workshop had an engaging series of lectures by Dr. Subrahmanyam Mula, Assistant Professor, Dr. Sabarimalai Manikandan, Associate Professor, Mr. Pavan Kumar Ganjimala, Research Scholar from the Department of Electrical Engineering that delved into the intricacies of VLSI design flow, tools, and technology.
With a whopping 258 students and researchers in attendance, the event covered everything from ASIC front-end and back-end design to exploring VLSI design opportunities in academia and industry. With the evolution of VLSI design, electronic systems now demand high performance, low power consumption, extensive storage, and seamless connectivity. This workshop aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of VLSI design, highlighting its significance in the contemporary technological landscape.
