Indian Navy visits IIT Palakkad: Explores avenue for collaborations

A delegation of technical specialists from the Indian Navy, led by Vice Admiral Shri. G Srinivasan (AVSM, VSM), Rear Admiral Shri. B Ajay (VSM), and Commander Prashant, paid a visit to IIT Palakkad on 27 June 2023. The team was also accompanied by Dr. M Suresh and Dr. S Rammohan technical experts from the Fluid Control Research Institute (FCRI), Palakkad. The experts were warmly welcomed by Prof. A Seshadri Sekhar, the Director of IIT Palakkad. During the discussions, the visiting team expressed their interest in exploring potential collaborative projects in the fields of applied thermofluids and additive manufacturing at IIT Palakkad, in partnership with FCRI. Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Dean, Industry Collaboration and Sponsored Research (ICSR), Dr. Samarjeet Chanda, Head - Mechanical Engineering department, and Dr. Pramod Kuntikana, Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering, attended the discussions.
