Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN), a section 8 (not for profit) company set up as an Incubator arm of IIT Palakkad is a collaborative entity with Institutes and Industry to create an impactful innovation ecosystem, discover disruptive technologies and enable entrepreneurs & startups. Multiple centers of excellence are emerging under this company, with initial focus on water sanitation and hygiene, and biomedical devices. A Technology Innovation center will take care of all the training, innovation and incubation needs for the startups across domains.

About GSCOE

Global Sanitation Center of Excellence(GSCOE) established in Jan 2022 at Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad(TECHIN) at IIT Palakkad. GSCOE is a center for collaborative and sustainable  innovation, incubation, scaling manufacturing, skill development, training showcase and deployment of Sanitation solutions. Technologies that provide reduction in pollutants and pathogens, reduction in use of vital resources and energy, improvement and efficiency in recovery of nutrients, energy, creation of products and bi-products that can benefit the society and also provide livelihood, safe and clean sanitation would be the primary focus of the center.  Showcase, deployment of the products of the startups, training for Entrepreneurs, micro- entrepreneurs, maintenance and service personnel for the products and sanitation solutions.

Position Project Manager (IIT Project Staff)

Qualification

  • Graduate in Engineering  or Science  with post graduate in business or developmental studies
  • Minimum ten years experience in any development office/ skill training/other  training and capacity building programs, marketing. Preferably in the Sanitation space
  • Two to three years experience is managing people and running projects.
  • Experience in managing both internal and external contractual relationships.
  • Computer skills – email, excel, word, using drive, video editing, setting up video meetings, project management software
  • Communication skills – Excellent written and verbal communication in English and one of  Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi

Position for Program Coordinator (TECHIN GSCOE B & H)(4 positions)
Scope of the job
Including but not limited to:

  • Plan and coordinate training programs, and incubatees,  incubation activity and marketing needs of the Incubatee teams and coordinating with the overall company planning
  • Develop the process of efficiently conducting the various programs and events.
  • Collaborate with team leaders in preparing plans, timelines and budgets and monitoring their plan, deliverables and expenses.
  • Preparation of draft proposals & presentations.
  • Finding and coordinating resource persons, mentors, judges, consultants for the various programs and incubation activity.
  • Preparation of content for all program collaterals.
  • Identifying and coordinating the various requirements of the Incubatee teams, resource allocation and coordination of their prototyping and facility usage with IIT Palakkad and the ecosystem.
  • Outreach to prospective participants to identify the teams that are ready to incubate.
  • The job may require you to work on Saturdays and Sundays. For Sundays, compensatory off for a day can be availed in that particular following week.

Qualification

  • MBA in Project Management or Business Development or marketing with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/ Institution.
  • An undergraduate in science or engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised University/Institution.
  • Minimum two years experience in Project management/development office/ training.

Knowledge & exposure

  • Good English communication skills (written and spoken) and able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. At least spoken skills in one of Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil
