About TECHIN
Technology Innovation Foundation of IIT Palakkad (TECHIN), a section 8 (not for profit) company set up as an Incubator arm of IIT Palakkad is a collaborative entity with Institutes and Industry to create an impactful innovation ecosystem, discover disruptive technologies and enable entrepreneurs & startups. Multiple centers of excellence are emerging under this company, with initial focus on water sanitation and hygiene, and biomedical devices. A Technology Innovation center will take care of all the training, innovation and incubation needs for the startups across domains.
Training Officer I (TECHIN_GSCOE B) (3 Positions)
Job Profile
- Planning and coordinating Training programs
- Liaison with consultants for training
- Conducting training programs
- Demonstration of products and equipment on usage
- Explaining standards
- Creating material for training manuals
- Arranging the training facility for the training programs
Qualification
- Graduation in Science/engineering/ Engineering Diploma with relevant experience/ ITI with at least 5 years of experience in sanitary/ plumbing works.
- At least two years of experience in conducting training and capacity building programs as a resource person or as coordinator, preferably related to sanitation.
- Knowledge and exposure to the startups environment and training needs assessment for incubation of startups will be a plus.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal communication in English and one of Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi necessary
- Computer skills –Office and G Suite, email, using drive
- Enthusiasm to contribute to the ecosystem/organization.
Salary
- Consolidated monthly emolument in the range Rs 30,000/- per month.
- The initial appointment is for a period of one year

Position for Technical Executive – Electronics (TECHIN_GSCOE B)
Job Profile
- Maintenance of equipment
- Monitoring equipment usage by projects
- Writing the technical inputs for the proposals and project reports
- Reviewing usage and incubate consumables requirement, order and purchase
- Liaison with vendors and service providers
- Planning and Organizing technical demonstration of equipment usage
- Creating user manual for equipment, guidelines for safety documentation
- Providing technical support to incubate and trainees
Qualification
- Post graduate in Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and communication Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- One or two years of experience working on control systems like SCADA or other sensory control systems for process monitoring.
- Good Knowledge of metering and measurement systems for a variety of engineering applications.
- Computer skills – CAD software / fusion 360 software, Simulation software like Simulink or Ansys email, excel, word, using drive
- Communication skills – written and verbal communication in English and one of Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi
- Experience Raising indent, purchase order, monitoring inventory, writing reports, providing technical inputs for proposals for projects and proposals for funding and tendering

Emoluments & other terms
- Consolidated monthly emolument in the range of Rs. 35,000 to 40,000/- per month based on the skills of the candidate.

Position for Program Coordinator (TECHIN_ GSCOE B & H), (4 Positions)
Scope of the job
- Including but not limited to:
- Plan and coordinate training programs, and incubatees, incubation activity and marketing needs of the Incubatee teams and coordinating with the overall company planning
- Develop the process of efficiently conducting the various programs and events.
- Collaborate with team leaders in preparing plans, timelines and budgets and monitoring their plan, deliverables and expenses.
- Preparation of draft proposals & presentations.
- Finding and coordinating resource persons, mentors, judges, consultants for the various programs and incubation activity.
- Preparation of content for all program collaterals.
- Identifying and coordinating the various requirements of the Incubatee teams, resource allocation and coordination of their prototyping and facility usage with IIT Palakkad and the ecosystem.
- Outreach to prospective participants to identify the teams that are ready to incubate.
- The job may require you to work on Saturdays and Sundays. For Sundays, compensatory off for a day can be availed in that particular following week.
Qualification
- MBA in Project Management or Business Development or marketing with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/ Institution.
- An undergraduate in science or engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised University/Institution.
- Minimum two year experience in Project management/development office/ training.
Knowledge & exposure
- Good English communication skills (written and spoken) and able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. At least spoken skills in one of Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil
- Capable of structuring their workload.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, Innovative thinking and creative planning skills.
- Organizational and time management skills, Relationship management and interpersonal skills.
