Notification for the recruitment of Chief Innovation Officer - On Contract

Qualification:
Ph.D. with minimum 5 years work experience or Masters Degree with minimum 10 years work experience or Bachelor's Degree with minimum 15 years work experience. All degrees

Experience:
At least 5 years experience working at a managerial level in a R&D organisation and/or incubation/innovation hub. Demonstrable strong communication skills are essential along with excellent organizational skills.


Desirable:
Knowledge of academic research environment

Consolidated monthly pay in the range of Rs. 80000 - 125000/- (The actual amount will be fixed based on the candidate’s profile.) 1

The appointment will be on a contract basis for one year, extendable based on review of performance.

Job description and Key responsibilities of the Chief Innovation Officer:

  • Actively engage with faculty to offer in-house innovation projects, and in encouraging students to work on them.
  • Act as a bridge between the faculty and students to follow up on the progress of the projects.
  • Maintain and enhance the CSquare innovation lab facilities and oversee its activities.
  • Assist and engage faculty in running the innovation project based courses.
  • Disseminate information to the student community on different programs including hackathons and encourage their participation.
  • Conduct in-house innovation competitions to identify teams for state and national level events.
  • Maintain up to date records of various innovation activities, including minutes of various meetings of the innovation related policy making bodies and update the same on relevant portals of the GoI.

Job description and Key responsibilities:

  • Handling Inbound programs and immigration work for International students.
  • Handling Outbound programs for IIT Palakkad students and scholars
  • Coordinating with the IITPKD students to organise International and Alumni related activities
  • Handling the International and Alumni Relations database (data entry and generating reports)
  • Maintaining accounts and handling logistics of the IAR Office.
  • Coordinating with departments and faculty at IITPKD.

Job description and Key responsibilities:

Communication and Media Officer

  • Coordinate the development, drafting, and editing of news releases, media advisories and announcements for distribution to the news media to publicize the institute, its faculty, students, staff, and their programs, activities and research.
  • Review any content that goes on the institute web pages.
  • Maintain professional contacts and affiliations with the news media, bloggers, podcasters, and other influencers – at the local, national, and international levels, to facilitate and promote the dissemination of news and publicity about the institute.
  • Maintain the institute’s official blog and social media handles, ensuring the consistent use of branding across various media.
  • Create print material such as brochures, posters and flyers.
  • Maintain records of media coverage including photo and video assets and collate analytics and metrics of the same.
  • Write regular articles on our institute academics, various programs, research, facilities, industry collaboration etc.
