Job description and Key responsibilities:

  • Handling Inbound programs and immigration work for International students.
  • Handling Outbound programs for IIT Palakkad students and scholars
  • Coordinating with the IITPKD students to organise International and Alumni related activities
  • Handling the International and Alumni Relations database (data entry and generating reports)
  • Maintaining accounts and handling logistics of the IAR Office.
  • Coordinating with departments and faculty at IITPKD.

  • All the positions are initially on a temporary basis (Initially for 1 year and further extendable)
  • The completion of the period of the contract will not confer any right for further extension, regularization, Or permanency at the Institute.

Several years experience working in an Industrial environment and engaging with industrial partners. Demonstrable strong communication skills are essential along with

Desirable:

knowledge of academic research environment, and Intellectual Property Management.

Consolidated monthly pay in the range of Rs. 80,000 - 150000/-

Job description and Key responsibilities:


Industry Liaison Officer
 

  • Develop and implement an ongoing strategy for identification, prospecting, and stewardship of external partners that will lead to collaborative research and development activities with IIT Palakkad.
  • Serve as a primary contact for corporate inquiries regarding research partnerships, start-up business opportunities, access to research centres, institutes and programs, connections to faculty expertise, facilities and equipment, networking events, as well as other activities and programs that respond to corporate needs and interests.
  • Identify, develop and manage relationships with potential companies for inclusion in Industry-connected programs of the Institute.
  • Manage interactions between current Industrial partners and the Institute.
  • Enhance the engagement of Industrial partners and facilitate commercial deployment of Intellectual Property developed within the Institute.
  • Actively engage with IIT Palakkad researchers to develop a deep understanding of the expertise at the Institute to match companies to priorities, researchers, and funding programs.
  • Identify and manage the participation of industry partners in the proposal preparation process, to aid in leveraging industry-sponsored funding and helping to cultivate and secure appropriate partnership agreements.
  • Help in establishing internships for students and researchers in Industry, Industry mentors for innovation, visiting faculty from Industry, training programs for Industry personnel.

Communication and Media Officer

  • Coordinate the development, drafting, and editing of news releases, media advisories and announcements for distribution to the news media to publicize the institute, its faculty, students, staff, and their programs, activities and research.
  • Review any content that goes on the institute web pages.
  • Maintain professional contacts and affiliations with the news media, bloggers, podcasters, and other influencers – at the local, national, and international levels, to facilitate and promote the dissemination of news and publicity about the institute.
  • Maintain the institute’s official blog and social media handles, ensuring the consistent use of branding across various media.
  • Create print material such as brochures, posters and flyers.
  • Maintain records of media coverage including photo and video assets and collate analytics and metrics of the same.
  • Write regular articles on our institute academics, various programs, research, facilities, industry collaboration etc.
