Ms. Arya Aravind is a Clinical Psychologist with dedicated experience in the field of mental health and psychotherapy. She holds an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from
Amity University, Jaipur, and is a licensed practitioner under the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). She completed her post graduation in Clinical Psychology
from the Annamalai University,Chidambaram
Since 2017, Ms. Arya has been an integral part of the Counseling and Wellness Services at IIT Palakkad, where she primarily works with young adults navigating
academic, emotional, interpersonal, and identity-related challenges. Her work involves individual and group interventions, well-being workshops, and collaborative
initiatives that support mental health in an academic environment.Prior to joining IIT Palakkad, she served as a Clinical Psychologist at EMS Memorial Hospital and was associated with the Mental Health Action Trust (MHAT), gaining
valuable clinical and community-based mental health experience.Her therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy(DBT), Solution Focused Brief
Therapy (SFBT) and mindfulness practices. She is deeply committed to creating safe, supportive spaces that empower young adults to explore their experiences and build
healthier lives. -
