Curtains on a well-attended 7th Institute Day@ IIT Palakkad

IIT Palakkad celebrated its 7th Institute Day today, the 20th of January 2023. The event started at 4 PM at Agora Auditorium, Nila Campus.

Shri Trilok Kothari IRSS (Divisional Railway Manager, Palakkad) who is also an IIT (Delhi) alumnus, was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address,  he urged students to do what they love,  have faith in their capabilities and to learn with passion,  mindful of their privilege as IITians. The Chairman, Board of Governors, Shri Ramesh Venkateshwaran, in his welcome address,  spoke of the unique role that the Railways have in India,  and how it facilitates connect with the heart of our country, urging students to explore the same for innovation-related inspiration.  As is the practice, recognising the students who excelled in academics and various activities was part of the event. This year,  two of the Institute alumni were also invited speakers. The event concluded with a cultural program by the students .
