The Department of Civil Engineering is organizing a workshop series exclusively for engineers from the Kerala Public Works Department (PWD), scheduled from May 26 to 30, 2025. The program is in partnership with the Kerala Highway Research Institute (the research wing of Kerala PWD), as per the Centre of Excellence MoA with IIT Palakkad. About 50 Engineers of the Kerala PWD from their different wings across Kerala will be attending over the course of a week.

The Science Quest Residential Programme is the flagship IIT Palakkad outreach initiative established in 2019. This is a residential science camp in memory of the Late Prof. M. C. Valsakumar, former Professor of Physics and Dean (Student Affairs) at IIT Palakkad. The camp aims to instill a spirit of inquiry, critical thinking, and love for science and mathematics in students.
The Department of Mathematics launched the Summer Training Programme in Mathematics (STPM) in 2024. We are pleased to present its second edition in 2025. The primary aim of this program is to identify young minds who are at the entry-level of mathematics, motivate and groom them to be competent enough to solve some of the challenging problems in mathematics. Towards achieving this goal, the workshop will give focused and concentrated training by conducting interactive sessions in core mathematics wherein the participants will be prompted to learn mathematics by doing it themselves.
