Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of it’s people, culture and achievements. Various activities undertaken by the Institute towards this initiative are as follows.

Let Us Sing the National Anthem - Rendering of the National Anthem

Unity Run 2.0 - For this event a person had to start from  Manogatha and complete near to the CPWD office in Main Campus. Those who participated had to make a slight detour and might go around the Water Body 1 to complete 5.0 Km as shown in the map. Students, Faculties and staffs who were at the campus participated in this event.

Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 - Group Fitness program which consists of both virtual marathon and cyclothon. Participants have the following targets:
1. 100 km of running on 15-august-2021 (cumulative)/100 km of walking on 15-August-2021
2. 400 km of running/walking from 13-August-2021 till 02-Oct-2021
3. 900 km of cycling 13-August-2021 till 02-Oct-2021
4. 250 km of cycling on 02-Oct-2021

Participants who completed the 250 km mark: Col.S.Chakraborty (281.5 km), Abdul Shukoor (483.3 km), Dr. Nisha Gupta (427.9 km)

             

Participants with Significant Milestones: Dr. Swaroop Sahoo (226 km), Steffy Benny (184.57 km), Mudasir UL ISLAM (170.03 km), Naman Purohit (123.97km), Dr. Prithvi Narayan (72.1 km)

Competition for Surya Namaskar on the occasion of Makar Sankranti

A competition for Surya Namaskar  on the occasion of Makar Sankranti was held on 14th January, 2022 at 6 pm. The session consisted of basic Yoga practice for the first 15 minutes followed by a Surya Namaskar competition for another 15 minutes.
