Launch of Centre of Renewable Energy (CoRE)

Energy and fuel technologies are fast evolving in the modern world and research in these areas find application across various spheres such as transportation, process, and power generation. At IIT Palakkad, we are establishing the Centre of Renewable Energy (CoRE) to coordinate institute-wide research and development on renewable energy technologies and to act as an interface with industries and other academic institutions that have a similar focus. The Centre will have broadly four verticals namely wind, solar, biomass, and hydrogen energy. The main campus of IIT Palakkad will feature both wind and solar farms which bolster the vision of creating a unique sustainable ecosystem. CoRE has been officially launched by Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad on the 17th of March 2023.
