Department of Chemistry is organizing a Chemistry Laboratory Safety Workshop on 1st December 2022 (Thursday) in the Ahalia Campus. This is going to be a day-long workshop with lectures, demonstrations, and a test. Please find the attached schedule for the workshop. The aim of the workshop is to raise awareness among all the research scholars and students regarding the safety rules and regulations to safely work in a chemistry laboratory. A participation certificate will be provided to those who will attend all the three sessions i.e.

Abstract: Over the past few decades, major developments in the field of molecular biology coupled with advances in genomic technologies have led to an explosive growth in the amount of biological data generated by the scientific community. This has necessitated the use of computational methods for analyzing biological data in order to better understand the cellular processes and make discoveries. Applications of methods of machine learning naturally followed.

On the occasion of National Sports Day on 29th August 2022, the Wellness Hub will be conducting a Marathon and Selection Trial for the students, faculty and staff of IIT Palakkad. This event will be conducted on Saturday, 27th August 2022. This event will be conducted in the Ahalia Campus, starting and ending at Hostel-3, at 9:40 am.
