Rheology Symposium at IIT Palakkad: Unveiling New Insights

IIT Palakkad recently hosted a symposium on Rheology titled "Exploring Complex Material Flows." The event featured valuable insights from both academia and industry experts in the field. The highlight of the event was the inauguration of the state-of-the-art Anton Paar MCR 702e Rheometer on campus, by Prof. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad.

Other distinguished experts, including Prof. Abhijit P. Deshpande, IIT Madras, Prof. Murali Krishnan J, IIT Madras, Dr. Rahul A. V., IIT Tirupati, Dr. Sayantan Majumdar, RRI Bengaluru, and Dr. Athira P K, Anton Paar, delved into themes such as "Rheology as a Field of Research in India," "Rheology - Science vs Engineering Perspective: Collaborative Topics," "Rheology - Industrial Requirements," and "Rheology - Instrumentation Challenges." This convergence of expertise provided a comprehensive exploration of rheology's significance, bridging the gap between academic research and industrial applications.  The symposium's focal point was an engaging panel discussion moderated by Dr. Vishwas, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, IIT Palakkad on the topic Rheo-Insights - Rheology as a field in India

The day was further enriched with enlightening poster presentations, showcasing various concepts of rheology from different departments. The symposium served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration and pushing the boundaries of rheological research at IIT Palakkad.
