Celebrating Science and Storytelling: IIT Palakkad hosted Kerala Science Slam 2024

IIT Palakkad hosted the grand finale of the Kerala Science Slam 2024 at its Nila Campus, marking a vibrant celebration of scientific talent and innovation. The event was inaugurated by Dr. R. Bindu, Honorable Minister for Higher Education, Government of Kerala. The occasion was also honoured  by the presence of former Finance Minister Dr. T.M. Thomas, along with other esteemed dignitaries.

Ms. Sneha Das, a research scholar from Amala Cancer Research Centre, Thrissur, bagged the first prize. Her presentation combined scientific insights with a storytelling flair, exploring the benefits of gucchi mushrooms in cancer prevention and heart health. The event provided a platform for participants from across the state to showcase their originality and scientific expertise, sparking engaging discussions and novel perspectives in diverse fields of research.
