Sudha Padmaja Francis (Sudha K F) is an independent filmmaker and researcher from Kerala, India. She is currently pursuing a PhD at IIT Palakkad. She graduated with a Masters in Film from the University of Reading, UK in September 2017. She is a recipient of the Felix scholarship for 2016-2017. Prior to that she did her Masters in Cultural Studies at the English and Foreign Languages Univeristy, Hyderabad.  She has made a short fiction film ‘Eye Test’ for her dissertation, which won the National Award in in 2017. She has continued to make documentary films like Ormajeevikal ( Memory Beings, 2018), Our Nool Viral Chaitham ( A Tale of Threads and Fingers), Ginger Biscuit (2024)  which have screened at many international film festivals. Her first poetry collection The History of Red Hibiscus Flowers was brought out by the Red River Press in June 2025.
