Quantum Nature of Light and the Photon

The role of robotic systems including autonomous vehicles is expected to grow significantly in the near future. Current unmanned aerial vehicles are incapable of autonomously maintaining flight close to the Earth’s surface where aerial locomotion is very challenging due to unsteady winds and complex terrain. Biological flyers, such as insects and birds, though equipped with only tiny sensory and motor systems, are capable of precision flight and navigating long distances through complex terrain.
Theme for National Science Day Celebration this year is "Science and Technology for a sustainable future."
As a part of this, we have invited around 60 students from near by schools and we are organizing a fun filled Experimental, Puzzle and Lecture sessions for them.
Prof. Sandeep Pandey (Magsaysay Awardee) is an Indian social activist. He co-founded Asha for Education with Dr. Deepak Gupta (presently Professor at IIT Kanpur) and V.J.P Srivastava while working on his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He is currently a visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
