Research
My research explores the notion of the holy (das Heilige) in the writings of Martin Heidegger. Instead of seeing this as a theological source of meaning, I take it up in the philosophical context of Heidegger’s relentless critique of technology. Thus, construing the holy as Being-as-the-holy, my research also investigates its possibility of becoming the source of ethical responsibility in the context of Heidegger’s thinking of Being. It also tries to situate Heidegger within the wider context of re-enchantment projects of the modern world.
