Polarising Microscope

The Polarising Microscope (DM2700P) is a high-quality upright polarization microscope manufactured by Leica Microsystems, specifically designed for the investigation of crystalline structures in geology, mineralogy, and materials science. It features advanced, ultra-bright LED illumination that provides a constant color temperature (approx. 4500 K), ensuring consistent and realistic sample imaging without the heat generation associated with traditional halogen lamps. The system is versatile, supporting both incident and transmitted light techniques, and is equipped with a 5-position centerable nosepiece and a color-coded diaphragm assistant (CDA) that helps users quickly match illumination settings to the objective lens. With capabilities for orthoscopy, conoscopy, and differential interference contrast (DIC), the DM2700P is an essential tool for analyzing optical properties like birefringence in minerals, plastics, polymers, and other anisotropic materials
