Strengthening Industry-Academia Ties : IIT Palakkad partners with Natrinai Ventures Private Limited, Coimbatore

IIT Palakkad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Natrinai Ventures Private Limited, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to nurture joint efforts in power electronics and energy systems. The agreement was signed by Professor Santhakumar Mohan, Dean ICSR, and Mr. Sudharman Ezhil, CEO of Natrinai Ventures, in the presence of Professor A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad.

The partnership focuses on the design and development of grid-connected power electronic converters (PECs) interfaced with solar and battery energy storage, energy management systems, and lab-scale proof-of-concept demonstrations with support from NGE Green Energy. It also involves the study of existing product lines for performance improvements and cost reduction, along with manpower training, internships, and placements for students.

Dr. Arun Rahul, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, is the faculty in charge of this collaboration.
