Sun, 1st Apr, 2018 - 06:48 pm

Four of our teams (a total of 24 students) attended the finals of the Smart India Hackathon over the last weekend. The Hackathon consisted of a 36 hour intense coding session interspersed with mentoring by representatives of various ministries of the Govt. of India and three rounds of judging.

One of our teams, consisting of OV Adithya (CS III), Jude (CS III), Sooraj (CS III), Rohit Reddy (CS III), Mayank (ME III) and Gayathri (ME I) placed second overall in the final round. Their problem involved developing a tool to help time table scheduling in universities along with the ability to accept a rich set of constraints like favourable hours or class overlap requirements.
