Prof. Jagadeesh Bayry has been elected as the fellow of IVS

In recognition of the outstanding contributions to virology and immunology under the one health framework, Prof. Jagadeesh Bayry, Professor and Head of the Department of Biological Sciences & Engineering, has been elected as the fellow of the Indian Virological Society (IVS). The award was conferred at VIROCON 2025, organized by IVS in association with ICMR - National Institute of Virology, Pune. 

IVS, founded in 1984 and affiliated with IUMS, promotes virology research across human, animal, plant, and other systems. At present IVS has more than 550 life members and publishes the Springer Nature journal VirusDisease.
