IIT Palakkad Steals the Spotlight at the Inter-IIT Sports Meet!

IIT Palakkad, showcased an exceptional display of skill, teamwork, and determination at the Inter- IIT Sports Meet held at IIT Indore and IIT Kanpur. With a strong presence in various sporting disciplines, each participant gave their best to represent the institute with pride.

Inter-IIT Students Meet held at IIT Indore and IIT Kanpur

• Mr. Malaka Kishore received Silver Medal in the 100m race.
• Mr. P. Sainath Reddy received Silver Medal in the Long Jump
• Mr. Rajan Bhardwaj received Silver Medal in  Discus Throw.
• Mr. Ajay Kumar Jena  received Bronze Medal in Hammer Throw
• Mr. Malaka Kishore, Mr. P. Sainath  Reddy, Mr. Ajul Mohammed and Mr. Banoth Rajesh received Silver Medal in the 4*100m relay.
•  IIT Men's and Women's basketball teams reached the quarter-finals.
• The football team also advanced to the pre-quarter final stage.
• IIT Palakkad finished 4th in the Men's athletics events. 
• Overall, IIT Palakkad achieved 16th place, marking a significant improvement in the overall rankings

Inter-IIT Faculty and Staff Meet held at IIT Kanpur

• Mr Alok Singh bagged three gold medals in shot put, discus and hammer throw and secured the Best Athlete Award.
•  IIT Palakkad ranked 4th in Men's Athletics following IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi and IIT Madras.
• Prof. Sovan Lal Das finished 4th in the 400 m and 5th in the 200 m finals.
• Prof. Santhakumar Mohan finished 6th in hammer throw.
• IIT Palakkad  defeated IIT Dharwad to advance to the pre-quarter final stage in Cricket
