IIT Palakkad organizes First State Level Workshop on National Academic Depository (NAD)-DigiLocker and Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) in Kerala

For the first time in Kerala, a State Level Workshop on National Academic Depository (NAD)-DigiLocker and Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) was organized in IIT Palakkad in association with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on 30 May 2023. The session that aims to foster digital transformation and empower citizens was attended by representatives of 45 higher educational Institutions including Universities across Kerala.

Shri Prakash Pandey, Manager, National eGovernance Division, and Shri Vinay Bajaj, Business Executive, Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) addressed the participants. The session gave an overview of the National Academic Depository and Academic Bank of Credit, the workshop also briefed the participants on how to create an ABC ID and demonstrated the process of uploading the master data into the DigiLocker portal at the institute level. The interactive sessions provided a comprehensive understanding of the Academic Bank of Credit and its impact on  the game-changing National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Dr. T. K. Sudheesh, Chairperson of the NAD/ ABC Cell of IIT Palakkad, and Dr. B. Thiagarajan, Deputy Registrar (Academics), coordinated the event at IIT Palakkad.
