IIT Palakkad makes a splash at V-Guard Big Idea Challenge Finals ! 

The team led by Ashish Kumar Singh, Purusharth Singh Chauhan and Anurag from IIT Palakkad achieved 4th place and received the Best Jury Award at the prestigious V-Guard Big Idea Challenge 2025! 

The competition witnessed participation from over 3,000 teams representing 350 colleges across India and the top 20 teams advanced to the grand finale. Our team impressed the jury with their innovative project – an AI-powered Instant Geyser that generates mist and steam, features an inbuilt speaker, predicts weather and water temperature using AI, and integrates multiple smart functionalities.

The three-day event included a hardware round on the first day and concluded with the announcement of results on the final day. The team’s outstanding performance earned them a cash prize of ₹10,000, presented by Mr. Mithun K. Chittilappilly, Managing Director of V-Guard Industries, along with other industry leaders.
