IIT Palakkad Conducts SPARC GHATS-2026 Workshop on Hydrogen Technologies for a Sustainable Future
IIT Palakkad, in association with the IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation (IPTIF), conducted the SPARC GHATS-2026 Workshop on “Hydrogen Technologies for a Sustainable Future”.
The one-day workshop focused on the latest advancements, applications, and emerging opportunities in hydrogen technologies and the hydrogen value chain, with an emphasis on their role in enabling a clean and sustainable energy future.
Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad, inaugurated the event in the presence of Prof. Rabibrata Mukherjee, Professor, IITKGP and National Coordinator of SPARC program and Dr. Krishna Sesha Giri, Associate Professor and workshop organiser. The workshop featured invited talks by distinguished experts from leading academic and research institutions. The speakers included Prof. Aravind PV, Dr. Vassilis Kyriakou and Prof. Lorenzo Squintani from the University of Groningen and Dr. Amogh Amladi from the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Their talks provided participants with valuable insights into contemporary developments and research directions in hydrogen technology.
A dedicated session was also organised for scholars and students working in the area of hydrogen technology, providing them with an opportunity to present their research, interact with experts, and exchange ideas with fellow researchers. Prizes were awarded for the best student flash presentations, encouraging young researchers to showcase their work and engage in scientific discussions.
