IIT Palakkad Celebrates Hindi Diwas with Cultural Events and Competitions

IIT Palakkad celebrated Hindi Diwas with engaging cultural events and activities emphasizing the cultural and literary importance of Hindi language. Dr. Kunwar Sanjay Vikram Singh, Assistant Professor of Hindi at PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director of IIT Palakkad, presided over the function.

As part of the celebrations, a Hindi Dictation Competition was organized for faculty and staff, an Essay Writing Competition for students, and a Poetry Recitation Competition open to faculty, staff, and students. Prizes and certificates were presented to the top three winners in each category, as well as to all participants, by the Chief Guest.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. B. Thiagarajan, followed by a brief report on the three-day Hindi Utsav presented by Dr. Anish Hirwe, Chairperson of the Official Language Implementation Committee (OLIC). Dr. B. V. Ramesh, Registrar, and Dr. Garima Shakya, OLIC member, along with other faculty members, staff, and students, attended the event. The programme featured vibrant cultural performances and concluded with a Vote of Thanks by OLIC member Sh. Shailesh Kumar, followed by the National Anthem.
