Hon’ble Prime Minister Lays Foundation for IIT Palakkad Expansion; Emphasizes Atmanibhar Bharat

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Phase B expansion of IIT Palakkad, along with seven other IITs, through video conference. The event at IIT Palakkad was held at the Agora Auditorium. 

At IIT Palakkad, the ₹2600 crore Phase B project will add nearly 1.55 lakh sq.m of built-up space, including residential and sports complexes, academic blocks and classrooms. By 2028-29, the campus will be able to accommodate around 2,600 students, along with a proportional increase in the strength of faculty and staff.
