Colloquium Highlights: Prof. Milind Sohoni’s Talk on Real-World Sustainability Challenges

IIT Palakkad conducted the Institute Colloquium featuring Prof. Milind Sohoni from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay. He delivered a talk titled "Sustainability – Data, Models and Pedagogy."

He highlighted the crucial role of data, models, and scalable AI solutions in addressing issues like pollution, drinking water scarcity, and public transportation. Emphasizing the responsibility of higher education institutions, he showcased how they can work closely with communities, choose impactful problems, and equip students for meaningful careers in sustainability.
