Advancing Global Water and Sanitation Dialogues: IIT Palakkad delegation at IWA WDCE 2025

The five-membered delegation from the IIT Palakkad, led by Dr. Praveena Gangadharan (Project Director, GSCOE), Dr. Devasena M. (CTO, GSCOE), Dr. Praveen G. (Project Manager, GSCOE), Mr. Midhu Unnithan (COO, TECHIN) and Ms. Shameera K.H (Research Scholar, Civil Engineering), has participated in the International Water Association’s Water and Development Congress and Exhibition 2025, held in Bangkok from 8-12 December 2025.

The delegation engaged in key technical sessions, exhibitions, and networking forums focusing on sustainable water and sanitation solutions, including non-sewered sanitation systems, faecal sludge management, and decentralized treatment approaches. The participation enabled knowledge exchange on global best practices and facilitated interactions with international researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. The presence of the IIT Palakkad delegation at this flagship event of IWA has further strengthened its international visibility and supported its efforts to foster global collaborations while advancing research and innovation in sustainable sanitation and water systems.
