ACE@IIT-PKD & TechnoStruct successfully organise a seminar on Building Information Modelling

The Association of Civil Engineers (ACE) at IIT Palakkad, successfully organised a seminar on 
Building Information Modelling (BIM) in collaboration with TechnoStruct on 18th January 2023. Delegates from across the country and academia attended.
The seminar focused on the advantages of BIM and highlighted how this technology can
revolutionise the industry. It also provided an opportunity for students to learn about different
software solutions available and how these can be used to make their projects more efficient.
Speakers at the event shared their knowledge and experience of having used BIM
technology in different projects. The speakers discussed various topics related to BIM such as
the use of software for project management and collaboration, 3D modelling techniques, data
management systems, use of latest technology like IoT, Virtual reality and more in the
construction industry.
The event offered students a chance to learn more about this technology and its potential
applications in various industries. The seminar concluded with an interactive Q & A session with
the speakers, which provided valuable insights into how BIM is being used in various industries
today as well as the future and scope of construction management in India.
